Parasitic Battery Draw from Under Dash Fuse #7
Parasitic Battery Draw from Under Dash Fuse #7
Parasitic battery draw, 3.2 mV drop across fuse 7 under dash, equivalent to roughly 300 mA draw. When I disconnect the driver's side door jamb switch, this draw is eliminated. Anyone know what all is dependent on this door switch that could be causing this?
Since the TL has lights, HFL, windows and sunroof which stay active for set durations after the ignition is turned off, it's best to test for draw 45 minutes after the ignition was turned off.
Fuse 7 is the back-up power.

disconnect HFL.
90 % likely candidate.
On a cool morning, go out and feel the interior roof area right close to the rearview mirror. If it is warm at all - the HFL is not shutting off like its supposed to. Disconnect it and you are good to go.
