Paint peeling at the base of window

I noticed yesterday that the paint at the base of window (drivers side) is peeling. It's not on the door but a separate "bar" that is at the base of the window.

Can this be removed? If I can get it off I have a guy that does body work and could probably re paint it for me. If it can be removed, anyone know how to get it off?

Thoughts?

It's not paint-- it's black vinyl tape on a piece of trim that can be easily removed.

For trim removal, see post #28 at: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...w-trim-904516/

Buy a few feet of black vinyl-- you can probably see you won't need much-- from the auto parts store, Home Depot, or E-bay.

Removing the old vinyl is the most time-intensive part of the job. I re-did three of the four window frame moldings-- they really make the car look nicer now.

Oh, and a member posted in another "faded window trim" thread that the moldings were $47 each for the front doors and $81 for the rear doors.
