Can you post some pictures?

Was your car garaged much of the time? What were the conditions it endured the past three years? Was something acidic/corrosive spilled on the paint? Did you keep wax/sealant on your paint? I'd be willing to bet your Acura dealer will ask similar questions.

Well the dealer will look first for signs of anything repainted or bodywork related on your vehicle. As long as you are in your 50k bumper to bumper warranty and they can prove that the vehicle has never been in an accident or been repainted, this should be covered under warranty! Its also pretty bad that your NBP has never been waxed, everytime i wash my car i atleast use the wax as you dry spray wax to keep my paint protected!

Thats definitely a good idea before going to the dealer, so it looks like you take care of your car!

I couldn't wait for the weekend so I had the car buffed and it looked better then new.. After that I took it the dealer and had the manager check it out. At first he was thinking and telling me that the car had been painted before because he had never seen that happen before and that the warrenty would not cover that. I kept telling him that the car had not being painted or has it ever being in any kind of accident. I was starting to get all heated up but kept it cool. The manager looked at it a little closer and checked the paints thickness with some measureing devise. Everything measured fine and he decieded to send me to their body shop for further testing, he also stated that if the shop found no sing of the the car being painted before that he would fix it under the warrenty. I went to the shop and some guy was already waiting for me. He looked at it and said it was a factory defeact. Now I just have to wait for the shop to make an appointment.. can't wait to have it fixed. Once I get it back I'm really gonna talking care of my baby this time.

Nicely done, i had a good feeling that they would repair it under warranty for you once they studied the paint!

My cusin's friend has an 05 and it to had the same cracking problem with the black. Oddly my uncle has an 05 blk accord and he had the same problem. I don't know of any other color that has had that problem. Just black

P.S. My car was in the shop for a full week before I got it but it was worth it. The car looks really good
