P430 Threshold Bank 2 Code

Yesterday while driving back home from charlotte NC to NJ the check engine light suddenly came on. So this morning i went to Advanceautoparts to have the code scanned and it showed P430 Threshold Bank 2 twice . I do have high flow cats installed and they come with defoulers and i had them installed now for a long time and never had a problem with the check engine light. The funny thing is that the car as soon as that check engine light came on it gained a lot more power in the low end and it accelerated much smoother actually and overall it was just more powerful. The Gas milage dropped down to 25 24 sometimes 26... but it was raining a lot.

Can anyone help out here please... I always had a problem with the car running down on power but now with the check engine light it runs great. Imagine !!! maybe that something that was causing the problem finally broke...

thanks fellas !!

front bank.

bank 1 is determined by cylinder one, hence the rear bank.

I am afraid to touch anything, as long as i can remember the car never ran better. In D the transmission acts snappy, downshifts whenever it makes sense and i dont have to press on the gas much to get going...

Im thinking to replace the primary o2 sensors, thats really the only thing i haven't replaced yet.

I would check the secondary o2 sensor on bank 1 as the secondary o2 sensor measures how polluted the air is after it goes through the pre cat.
It also helps if you reset the MID and run for awhile to see MPG actually decreases. In that case, primary o2 sensor may also involve since it's the A/F sensor.
If you haven't changed both o2 sensors for the last 60,000 miles, it's a good time to change them. Go with NTK or Denso, never use Bosch or Walker. NTK is the OE manufacturer for Honda o2 sensor I believe, order them through your local parts store or oemacuraparts so you can have reasonable price.
Do you still have warranty on you hfpc?
