P2197 code along with misfire codes
P2197 code along with misfire codes
I have a 2004 Acura TL 6MT and have had it for about 3 weeks now. Starting last week, I had all the codes from P0300-P0306 show up. Turns out the previous owner had it diagnosed as a weak ignition coil (2, 3 and 4) problem, so I replaced the coils in question and the problem was resolved for a couple of hours. Just an FYI, while replacing the coils, I made sure to check all 6 spark plugs and they all looked good. Now I have a P2197 code (O2 sensor stuck lean bank 2 sensor 1) going on and the car jerks and hesitates in the second gear only. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how can I fix it? I did check the fuel trims and they are definitely higher than normal. For numbers sake, my current LTFT Bank 1 is 17.18; LTFT Bank 2 is 5.47. I also noticed that when I let the gas pedal go or press the brakes, my AFR momentarily jumps to 29.4:1.
It would be nice if someone can help me figuring this out. Don't want to run into problems later on, as the car has been phenomenal so far

Perform or find someone to do a leak down test for bent valves. Possibly from overevving, maybe the previous owner isn't telling you the whole story. Coils rarely go bad on these in my experience.
If good then check valve clearances.

Yeah I guess I will get those tests done. Odd thing is that the engine light went away today and hasn't come on as of yet. I checked for pending fault codes as well, and there is absolutely nothing. Either the problem fixed itself out or has temporarily resolved. Regardless I will have to get the leak down test to confirm the bent valves.
