P2195 code appeared, then disappeared later.

So I was leaving working yesterday and accelerated briskley (not even WOT) and I noticed a CEL popped up. I checked it at home home and the only code to show was P2195 which supposedly is O2 sensor, stuck lean bank 1, sensor 1. I didnt clear the code, and kept driving normally. Next day, driving to work, the CEL just disappeared at some point in my drive.

At this point im not sure what to do. I was considering just replacing both O2 sensors just out of pure maintenance at this point (04TL w/ 135k). I also read something about a PCM update that the dealer has to do that can cause it. Im wondering if there is any cause for concern of if I can keep on driving with a worry.

sometimes the 02 sensors get lazy.
if you were going to change them out, anyways, the code is just sealing the deal for you, asking you to replace them!!

but, I bet you could drive a lot more before they totally go out.
when you replace them, gas mileage should increase!

My gas mileage is still somewhat phenomenal. I dont struggle to get 32mpg while driving a conservative 70mph.

Can you get an O2 signal (lambda) through OBD? I have a bluetooth dongle that I use with torque on my phone, so I could try tracking the signal under different driving conditions to see if it doesn't malfunction under hard acceleration. I ussually use it for pretty menial tasks like clearing/reading codes or real time mpg, so im not sure if ive ever seen an O2 option.

i think torque does track air fuel ratios and when the car goes lean/rich.

I have never played around with torque but it should monitor those values

I recently got a code (p2243) and i figured it was the front o2 sensor.I replaced it but the cel light is still on.Should i put some miles on it on the new sensor before the cel goes out or should i just pull the negative terminal off the battery and reset it all together?

TSB 04-016 - MIL Comes On With DTC P2195 or P2197

From page 3 of the June 2004 Acura Service News:
Software Glitch Causes DTC P2195 or P2197

An ECM/PCM software glitch in ’04 TLs can cause one or both of these DTCs to set:
• DTC P2195 [rear A/F ratio sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) signal stuck lean]
• DTC P2197 [front A/F ratio sensor (bank 2, sensor 1) signal stuck lean]

This glitch is easily fixed by reprogramming the ECM/PCM with the Honda Interface Module (HIM).
See S/B 04-016, MIL Comes On With DTC P2195 or P2197, for details.

Thanks for the info. My only struggle now is to figure out if I want to pay a dealer 150$ for a simple ecu flash (I got the price from other people with the same issue with accords). I tried contacting a local Acura/Honda shop to see if they can flash it but ive yet to hear from them. Id imagine the dealers have this service locked down due to the specialty items required to flash the ECM/PCM.
