I have a 2008 Acura TLS with the best extended warranty available. I am having sunroof problems with it opening and closing. I took it to Acura and they told me that besides the glass the whole sunroof needs to be changed out. They warranty the tracking for the sunroof but nothing else so the want me to pay for everything which is about 1400 dollars. What can I do so I don't have to pay for this. Please help. I had problems with my sunroof not wanting to close. It would stop short and open again. The dealership cleaned and lubricated the tracks and problem solved. The window and sunroof motors all have a safety feature in them to where it will reverse if there is too much resistance. This is to stop from smashing fingers etc.

 

The same thing also happened to my window, but this time the changes the motor.
