p0141 heater malfunction

p0141 heater malfunction

I have a customers 04 tl check engine light p0141 heater 02 sensor mal function b1 s2 ,checked resistance on sensor was high out of spec,replaced sensor ,drove 2miles code returned,checked power& ground up to 02 sensor has no ground ,swapped known good pcm,drove 5 miles code still there ,any ideas ,Im clueless ,gotta be a harness??anyone ran into this before ,if so what was the fix ?

Did you try running the codes again.. it might be a different code, that happen to me recently.. it was the wrong bank well i changed the wrong bank..

Luckily the secondary 02s don't affect the way the car runs. I wonder what the odds are of some of the wiring/connectors and the 02 being bad... Assuming you checked the right sensor, since it's a circuit code you might start at the 02 connector and work your way back. Check grounds also.

ya I did same code& I know I changed the correct sensor ,checked the resistince again on the old sensor saturday morning still is out of spec so I think im halfway there ,called techline also gave me some ideas but never have run into this that the know of ,need to spend more time on it thanks for the advice

gotta be a wiring issue I have no ground to my heater sensor but the car does run like shit because the pcm commands the heater on until the car is warm to bring it to close loop,then takes away the ground when the loop is closed ,checked resistince again on the old sensor it is still high so I have a bad sensor need to dig into it more ,also called techline nobody has ran into this before except 1 car that the know of & that was a bad pcm which I already tryed I wish it was I we be done already thanks for your tip
