Yes. Fix this as soon as possible. Otherwise if you don't use your car for 5+ days, you will have a dead battery. There are two ways to handle this.
Locate number 7 fuse and remove it for many 10 seconds (I think it's number 7 - check this out in the writeups I did in the August/September '04 time frame). If this is not the correct fuse, just remove the positive battery cable from its post for around the same amount of time (have your codes handy when you do this). Then start the engine and see if you get a reading.
