that orange o-ring reminder( p/s pump)

for all of you still having the power steering noise and find that you don't have that o-ring in there. please call your dealer. that o-ring is in the kit they give us for the line recall . tell them the ring is missing and it was not done right. you might get a oil change or something out of it. all so if the oring was not there and the pump fails. its on the dealership. if the give you shit. call acura client services. they will take care of it.

Hey.. It's been a while since you've been on the board. Hope you had a good New Years 240sx. Great advice. Here's a DIY on the PS o-ring for those annoyed with the whine & get the runaround from the shop or ACS.

Not that I can see...I've looked above and below and put the car on a lift as well. No fluid has been lost and it feels as if everything is still working properly.

I had the recall done originally, and it was still whining, turns out they re-used the old o-ring. Took it back and complained, told them to put the orange o-ring and now its great, no more whining.

its been awhile. i had a great new years. hope yours was great as well...
for all of those who have the noise after the ring is replaced then its to late. the pump is done. you don't want to rebuild it because it wont last. also and i stress this in bold

[B]if you real want to fix the problem replaced both reservoir lines and the reservoir. the hook claps for the lines , throw them away and use regular c- claps.

why??? the reservior has a screen at the bottom and it gets filled with all the gunk from the pump breaking apart causing the reservior to get hot and the lines expand causing more air into the system.
