Oil seal replaced - Now driveway spotting

While in for the 105k service, I was informed the oil seal(s) needing replacing. Had it done.

3 weeks later, I've noticed the driveway is spotting. I put a white towel under the car and am 99% sure it's oil (yellow-brown).

Location: Upper left passenger side, aligned with wheel.

Haven't called the (really good) Honda dealer I use yet.

Any troubleshooting? Too tight? Bad drain plug screw on?

Thanks as always.

Dealers warrant their work. The first thing I would do is take it back to check whether or not it was something they touched. If you want to be ahead of the game when you get there, clean the leaky/dirty area up so that it will be a little easier to see where it's coming from. I always like to know what's wrong before I get there in case they try to sell me services I don't need.

Good luck!

I'm assuming you're talking about looking at it from the front of the car... in which case, it could be power steering fluid. Check your power steering fluid level...

Yes, looking at front of the car, it's on the passenger side, towards the front of the car, approx 1 ft directly east of the front of the wheel. I do not know what's under there location-wise to know what is underneath.

Check the levels on your engine oil, power steering fluid, and brake fluid to be on the safe side... Depending on how bad it's leaking, you might be able to tell which one of these it is to get you going in the right direction.

Took back to Honda. They looked and stated the fluid was excess power steering fluid that had gotten on some components during the timing belt / oil seal change. Stated all fluid levels were good.

After I clean the driveway, I will monitor for more drips. I'm hoping they cleaned up the "spillage" under the hood.

Also had the front brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced, changed the trans fluid (105k, first time)

Hope this was it for Sophia!

If it was an oil seal that they replaced on the timing belt job it could've been one of the camshaft oil seals (behind the cam pulley in the head).

When I called a dealer here in hawaii they tried to upsell me on replacing them as well and wanted $3k to do the entire job, with me providing parts which I already had.

I just did it myself and left the cam seals alone.
