OEM coin holder doesn't hold coins well.

Is it just me or does our OEM coin holder in the armrest doesn't hold the coins well? Everytime I close the armrest, the coins get loose more and more and evantually come out of the holder.

Mine does the same thing. You can also put the coin holder in the door compartment.

Fill the coin holder to capacity and see if that works better-- the spring tension may be too low if you only have a couple of coins in each row. Mine is filled to capacity, and coins never get loose.

Not the greatest, but if you keep them pretty full the coins are less likely to come out.

I know I don't have one. Apparently, the previous owner didn't feel that one was necessary in her car and discarded it. Hell, I don't know if I would have ever used it anyway.

That is strange because I have read that the TYPE -S coin holders are much better than the base coin holders.

Have you looked in your door holders? There is a place for the coin holder to attach there as well.

How do you keep the coin holder from falling out from the door holder? It's pretty full & everytime I close the door, the coin holder falls off?

Get married and have kids. That coin holder won't be very full then.

Mine never stayed in place. Not in the door and not in the center arm rest.

The coin holder always dropped the change I had in it when it was full or empty. I just throw all the change in the cupholder and that works for me

What I did was use a little of this "goop" stuff. kinda like glue for plastics.
it never moved after that.

But then I read Inacurate's TL on a diet and got rid of the change holder.
Click here to read about the TL diet.

I have the same problem. It's worthless when it won't stay put.

I don't have a change holder in my glove box or in the door. post pics! haha Funny thing is, I had a friend that has an 07 TL and he got his with like 1,000 miles and bought it as new, but he was missing the silver slot piece that unlocks the shifter handle. It's located just left of the shifter handle.

I think I found it... #25
