Hi guys, does an occasional choppy downshift mean the beginning of a tranny failure? its an 07 with 57k......

 

Or you could do the 3x Redline flush and pressure switch replacement. Or you could provide more details instead of a vague post.

 

A choppy shift could be due to a number of things but by no means does it indicate failure. You are closing up on 60K miles! Have you done a fluid change at all on your car?

If not, the fluid should probably be changed out. Honda has new transmission fluid that's supposed to be good. If you want to go aftermarket to something better, redline D4 is fluid is an amazing option.

 

Thanks for the reply. No it shifts smoothly up and down. it doesnt slip or anything. It's just that sometimes when coming to a stop the shift from 4 to 3 or 3 to 2 isn't as smooth. I'll do the tranny fluid change. Where can I get that fluid? Thanks again

Hey thanks man. I read that entire thread. The verdict.....it's normal. Although I will do a tranny fluid change with this Redline stuff I'll order online somewhere.
