Just so useful information to everyone with a 08 and new cars. The obd II scanners that can be bought just about at any car parts place will not work. The car has a newer diagnostics system which is CANOBD II. It is backwards compatiable so it will work on any car from 96 to 07. Hopefully this helps people out who want to buy a scanner.

 

b- can was added in 04. but in 08 there was a shift to higher read out. so you will have to get a scanner that is b-can. auto zone should have them. i have a matco and it ran about $150.
