Not Happy

I recently had my drivers seat leather replaced by my dealer due to improper wearing. Its been about two months and my seat is falling apart. Part of the leather is sticking out. Both the plastic on the side of the seat, as well as the whole back of the seat are falling off. Has anyone else had such problems as I?

Why have you not gone back to the dealer yet?

Well I just noticed how bad it was today and it was 5:04 est and the service center closes at 5. The first thing I will be doing tomorrow is calling the dealer and giving it to them.

Dealers out source the leather work to an outside shop and they usually do a poor job, it will never be how it was like out the factory. That's why I try to maintain my leather through cleaning & conditioning (Meguiars products).

Wear & tear is normal on leather.

They told me they send it out. I understand that it will not look the same but it is falling apart. The car only had 6000 miles on it when it first went in. Not im at 8000 miles, still not a lot. The seat should hold up for more than 2000 miles.

I guess thats good news. I'm sure they will try their best to make it right. My family has a tsx as well as a RL and my moms lease on her 2005 RL is up in less than thirty days. They recently replaced my front two tires and gave me a wheel alignment for no charge after my dad gave them a call. Thats a whole new story though.

Luckily my car is leased and is covered the whole time. Compared to my moms rl and my borthers tsx it is not looking good. My moms rl has 43000 miles on it and the leather looks a lot better than mine. Kind of sad if you ask me.

What a minute I always knew when you buy a new car at a dealership with cloth seats and let's say you really wanted leather most of the time they send it to a shop to get you leather seats and its not gonna look like the factory leather. I know this. But On Acuras for example the least I would expect is to get a new Acura Seat if need be but I want my leather to be good quality like Acura uses (Or so I hope) I wouldn't want some other weird looking leather with different stiches than the rest of my seats??? Is the leather still perforated?? Does it look the same as the rest of the seats in the car? My 2005 Ebony Interior doesn't look that great considering I take good care of it and I only have 25k miles on my car!!
