This is normal?

Hey ziner!

I was looking around at my engine bay and i saw this hose with oil on it this is the steering hydraulic hose i think? Trynna figure if this is normal or i need to replace it or any opinion?? Thanks

Btw i got an 05 base auto 95k.

No that's not normal, yes it's PS fluid most likely since it's the PS hose.

Also you should probably change the accessory belt eventually, looks a bit tired.

anytime you see a leak, its not normal.

Clean area with brake clean, then squeeze and rotate clamp to another spot.
Keep an eye on the area and if it still leaks you'll need to look into hose replacement.

looks like the hose is dry and crack over time which cause it to leak.

No idea i bought it with it but i just bought a new one installing this week, and soon doing the timing belt

There was a recall on TL leaking power steering hoses -- the leaked fluid damages other things eventually.

I believe the replacement hoses are steel braided.
