So back in winter my car used to make this clicking sound when it was still cold and i was turning. When the car warmed up it seemed to go away. Now its summer time hot as shoot outside and the clicking sound is always there. Coming somewhere by the wheel in the front right. Anyone have some kind of idea what it may be. only happens while turning while adding some gas.

 

From doing some research.... The cv joint will make sounds when turnig and driving.. Clicking sounds that is. so if someone can confirm this for me ill go do more damage to my bank account.

 

Yeap you are correct. It is the CV joints. You have an 08. Do you still have powertrain warranty left? Mine was replaced for free.

 

Im at 95k so i dont think its covered by warrenty anymore.

 

If it's Acura Certified used, you get it extended to 100k.

 

Got my car new in 08 so its out of my pocket.

 

you will need to replace your axles.....go with Raxles if you wanna save some money....just as good as oem and a little bit cheaper (I think they are nice than oem, just replaced both mine 3 months ago)

Yeah got a hold of them. They dont have any in stock :-(. called the dealer 220 for the axle. I guess ill do that since they can have it in by tomorrow.

 

dont go through the dealer.....Raxles can make you one it takes a few days...or else order it offline from acuraoemparts.com and save yourself 50 bux.

 

Il try calling them to see when they can have it for me. Its my dail drive so i need it asap.

 

I drove with clicking cv joints for about 5 months before i fixed them....

 

Ya i been drivibg with it clicking about a month or so now. Just really mkes me look bad in my tls :-(. Cant take it anymore.

 

Ill just make some phone calls today and see what i can find.

 

Axle replaced. clicking is gone:-). Thanx for the help guys really appriciate it.
