Having a weird noise when i activate my power windows. It seems like it is creating a rattling/surge noise in the engine compartment. Anyone ever heard of this? Thanks!

 

BTW it sounds like a power surge followed by a clicking/rattling

battery was replaced 2-3 years ago.

 

This when sitting still? Or at speed?

 

Sitting still i noticed with the window open going through a drive through for coffee. I hit window down instead of up in the down position. Replicates the same way every time. Ticking/surging noise from engine compartment. Thinking alternator or serpentine belt?

 

Anyone??

 

try and get a video, also get your alternator tested, never hurts
