noise coming from glove box?

i just bought a certified preowned 08 TL about 6 weeks ago. i've noticed a vibration/rattling in the glove box when i'm driving. i think it might have to do with the latch because the noise goes away when i open the glove box.

before i purchased the car i read some complaints regarding the cheap plastic parts and the rattling they cause while driving. has anyone else experienced this noise? is there a quick fix? do you think the dealer will take care of this for me?

i just want a perfectly quiet car while it is still new to me!

thanks

Do a search on "Rattles" and read up on the multiple issues with this car. Then, make note of which areas you may be having trouble with. Most complaints have to do with the rear deck, but there are a few that Acura has acknowledged and released TSBs about. All of the TSBs are listed in the 3G Garage, first page.
Once you have a complete list, go back to the dealer and let know about each one.

It could also be when the cabin filter was changed, some clips are not attached/broken..

quick fix...yea..

if you think its the latch that take some white lithium grease (found at pepboys etc) and put it on the part of the latch that makes contact with the hook. worked for me

Had a similiar glovebox rattle in mine when it was new. Dealer put a piece of foam (sticky on just one side obviously) between the glovebox door and glovebox housing. Problem solved and never came back.

have you tried taking the glove box out and take the inner piece out also?
i had a rattling noise above my glove box and i took it apart and found out i was missing a bolt that connected the latch to keep it steady. look into it.

There's a support bracket that works loose and starts to rattle. Quick fix, and since you're under warranty, the dealer will do it for you.
