No fan, A/C won't turn on, worked this morning!!

I am having a problem with my fan motor not coming on. Is there something that tells the A/C compressor not to come on when the fan doesn't work because it isn't engaging either? The display shows the fan speed increasing when I adjust it up, but the fan isn't blowing and the A/C compressor isn't engaging.

It worked fine this morning and then just died when my wife started the car when she was on her way back home from picking up my son from school.

I will check the blower motor connection tonight after reading the Gen2 problems they had. I have checked the fuses under then hood and all appear good.

Any help would be great!

I'm thinking it's the power transistor in the HVAC system. I tried cleaning it like one of the threads had suggested, but my fan still doesn't come on. I did jump across the blue/black wire and the blower motor kicked off full blast. I assume it's the problem...if not i think I broke it anyway messing with it.

BTW...this thread is referring to the blower motor. When I said fan I know that gets confused with the radiator or condensor fans.

the climate control unit has a self diagnostic function.
1. turn ignition switch to ''ON''
2. Press and hold ''OFF'' Button
3. Press the recirculation button 5 times within 10seconds and release the OFF button.

if there is a fault, a segment on the temp indicator will not illuminate. If so tell me wich one it is and I will give you the possible fault.

''I still don't know how to put picture, so I can't show you the Service manual''. Sorry for that bro

Hope it will help

Okay so hopefully I did this right. After pushing the recirc buttom 5 times the system came on with "HI" temp, Defroster, and fan speed 1. Doesn't mean anything to me...I've got the service manual and I believe it would just show a code if it had a fault correct?
