This all happened after I was installing my aftermarket pioneer last night in the dark. Shout out to MOBILE MAX CAR AUDIO for all the awesome harnesses he makes. Great customer service.

MISTAKE: I didn't unplug the ground from my battery before install. After cursing myself trying to get the bottom bolts of the 4 that need to hold the stereo in (do yourself a favor and just undo the side shrouds) and dropping every bolt in between every nook. I buttoned everything up. I must've ground something/antenna maybe.I gave up and started again in the morning just to find no dashlights, no needles moving, couldn't lower my window. I realized I fucked up. Panic set in. There was no definitive posts anywhere on here. Took some resources from a post in the 2g section. So I wanted to share what I found.

FIX: Take a deep breath! Take out your multimeter. Put that bitch in continuity mode so you can hear some beeps Get to work on the fuse box under the hood. Move on to the driver side fuse panel. Touch both prongs on every fuse(openings are on top so you don't need to pull em out) If you do not hear a beep. Its blown(pull and inspect to see if its burnt/or inner is broken). I blew the meter fuse(7.5a), the 'back up' fuse(7.5a), and the radio fuse(20a). These are all mini ATM amp fuses. Have fun paying autozone for a full bussman kit just to get one 7.5amp for $15. My dash lights, blinkers, power windows are now working. So please when installing anything electronic. UNPLUG THAT NEGATIVE battery terminal. Don't be a dumbass like me and work in the dark.
