Last week i brought in my 04 5MT TL for noise coming out from engine department. the dealer told me that it's coming from the transmission and they're going to replace it. today i got my car back. the car drives really smooth with the new transmission. however i notice that every time i come to a stop at traffic light, i feel viberation on the car. it feels like the whole chasic is viberating. the viberation is light, but it bothers me. there is not viberation when the car is moving or i shift gear to nutral (N). have anyone experince this problem before?

 

hi, I had my transmission replaced too at 48,000 miles and i also had that vibration going on. Took the car back to the dealer and verified the vibration, so I guess they are in the process of fixing it. You should take it to the dealer and have it test drived with a technician. I also showed them the Service Bulletin regarding the drivetrain vibration, which I recommend you to take that too when going to the dealer. I'll let you know the results once I get my car back.

6MT or 5AT ?
