New Rotors/Pads

New Rotors/Pads
So I need to replace my pads/rotors. I have done extensive reading here and recommendations are all over the map. I thought I would ask the experts to weigh in on my decision.
I have a 08 Type S (my baby) with over 150K (miles). I plan on keeping her forever (the car is paid off next summer), so I'm not afraid to spend money on it. I don't race it or drive it too hard, but I do commute about 60 miles a day with a mixture of freeway and surface streets. And now, I need new pads/rotors.
What would you recommend? I would say dust control would be the most important performance factor. I'm leaning towards Stoptech. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Greg

I have read a lot of good reviews on the stoptechs here on AZ so they would be a good choice. Your Type s should have brembos on the front right? Why not get Brembo pads from Delray? I have them on mine all the way around and they work great.

greg, rotor and pad technology did not change in the last 10 years since the inception of the 3G TL.
so, if you read past threads on what brands will do you right, then go for it.

I would personally go OEM with the break pads. I just did my rear ones two days ago. I bought OEM pads for $60 and some aftermarket rotors for another $60. I can tell that my previous break pads were aftermarket since they would leave so much dust on the rims(much more than the front ones). Now, my break perform like a champ and my rims are free of excessive dust.
I have ceramic break pads on my 01 Audi A8L and they are they worst pads ever. They were supposed to be quiet and not making any dust. They were fine for first 15-20k miles and now they make noise and leave ugly brown dust on my beautiful upgraded rims. I will be changing them to OEM pads next week.
If you were going to get ceramic pads, make sure that you will pay the extra $$ and get the branded ones.
In conclusion, I think that OEM breaks are worth all the $$ and make sure that you don't buy them and do them through the dealership because you will pay double or even more.
Thank you and good luck with making the right decision.

My vote is for e-coated Centric Rotors, part# 12040062 for $48.79, rockauto.com. The the ones that won't rust on you.
Wagner MX1049 Semi-Metallic Pads, $25.79 for the set also from rockauto. Tried many combinations over the years, and this one seems to provide the best cost/performance benefit ratio. Plenty of noiseless braking power with barely any dust.
