Punctuation would be very helpful here always a challenge to read what is really going on when it is missing sounds like you have a failing transmission and/or a minimum it needs new fluid and possibly new switches lots of threads on here already talking about how to maintain the transmissions on these i bet if you check your fluid it is probably looking a bit dark and possibly burnt smelling what have you been doing for preventive maintenance when was the fluid changed last how many miles are on the car

Sorry for the punctuation I was talk text and the fluid is good and clean not burnt at all. Ik how to Maintain it. The thing is that it was driving fine and then one day going down the parkway it fell out of gear, I had to pull over and put it in park then into drive again. A week later it started going to shirt gears neutral out then slam into gear so I babied it. Then it progressed to falling out of gear and catching its self. Now I drive it in manual and it works shifts and everything I am not able to drive it in auto. The orange triangle is up and my vsa light is on for a 84-1 code and it says sensor logic failure Abs/vsa control unit will quit communication above 30 mph

The car and the trans are different trans has about 170k. And it’s clean as a whistle. Some people I talked to talked about the pressure solenoid a b and c. Some one said neutral safety switch, someone said shift solenoid

Welcome to the forums.

I deleted the thread you posted in Car Talk since we only like to see one thread per topic.

And I deleted the thread you posted in the New Member introductions forum since that is only for introductions. Please read the sticky thread at the top of the page for more info.

And the other two threads exactly like this that you posted in 3G TL.

Please learn from this and don't mass post threads for the same topic.

The fact it behaves properly when in manual mode says the transmission itself is likely fine. You need to dig into the VSA light and codes more to see if any more details are available on what is angry.

I’ve tried that’s how I got the 84-1 code. I used one the Launch Tech 775310 Hd Pro Ii Diagnostic Scanner. That’s why I’m so stumped
