Question HID bulb output and reseating - CBI is a bit dim

Hey group - I've posted on a couple threads about my CBI output and beam pattern, but wanted to ask specifically about reseating tips for the HID bulb. As I understand, there is a lot of voltage to fire up the lights so you have to wait a while before handling them. As for "reseating" do you have to take off the white ignitor connector after taking off the ignitor or can you loosen the springs while leaving the white connector on? Will I just be wiggling the bulb around to see it there is a better "resting" spot where it sits flush, or do you completely remove it each time? Should I try and angle it up or down when putting the clips back on?

To get to the bulbs, I'm thinking of taking the tire off and pulling the fender liner as I've read can be a alternative vs. bumper removal and taking off each headlight. Specifically, I wanted to ask are there any tips for the best outcome when reseating the bulb before putting everything back together? I was pretty sure I put the bulbs in flush but the output really isn't anything great, IMO, so I'm wondering if the shield is blocking some of the strongest light output. In summary:
- Blacked out the headlight housing and adding ZKWR lenses with one spacer
- Spun the lens until the cutoff looked pretty good with stock bulbs while the lights were unmounted
- Rebaked the lights and then added the CBIs (genuine) before remounting the lights
- I didn't test the lights with the CBI before mounting the lights and putting the bumper back on
- Just not all that impressed with the brightness, and the passenger side pattern looks a bit strange
- High beams don't really improve forward lighting, it just seems to throw it high up

The drivers side looks like it dips down towards the center. Honestly, I was thinking about adjusting the drivers side up some. As for the high beams, it seems to throw light really high, and not just extend the low beams a bit. I honestly don't get any better visibility with high beams (but I don't use them often either).

Undo igniter, undo spring, ensure projector are is clean of obstructions. Put bulb on. Don't just eyeball it..

TL projector isn't best at distribute light on the road compare to TSX and RL projector housing. CBI bulbs will require at least 40 hours of use for break in period, at first they don't tend to be much brighter than OEM but give it time and you will notice the difference. I am currently run CBB in my TL-S and CBI in the RL.

Thanks for the feedback T & T. Based on what I've read from other CBI/ZKWR posts saying "I outshine 99% of the cars on the road" "so much light" etc. I'm expecting to at least see my beams light up the dark spots between street lights, and maybe even be on par with my wife's 2017 CX5 led headlights. But I'm unimpressed so far, which makes me think something is wrong (plus my beam pattern, lack of increase in forward illumination from high beams, and the passenger side seemingly lighting up more of the far right side.) I've had them in since late August and probably have 30-40 hours on them for sure.
