New to the forum: Discovered missing bolt?

Greetings

I purchased a 2008 TL in June of this year with only 12,000 miles. Overall I really enjoy the car, my only complaint is the transmission doesn't feel as fluid as it should. (no slipping or major problems just the timing is a bit off) I have been reading through some transmission threads and decided to do the 3x3 flush today with dw1 and I completed that O.K.

I received the parts I ordered for the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switch install. I started on this and ran into a couple of problems and something very interesting

1. I am having a bit of trouble removing the wiring harness behind the driver's side wheel. I have 2 of the 3 clips removed it is the uppermost clip that does not want to come out and I don't want to break anything.

2. After successfully changing the sensor at the back of the motor I moved on to the one below the airbox. After removing the airbox I was looking for the pressure switch when I discovered there is a bolt and washer missing. (In Photo).

Is anything connected to this?
Where does this cavity lead?

Your help is appreciated

You have tranny problems at 12K? Highly unlikely. Ever owned a V6 Honda/Acura before? Their trannys are different than others. I wouldn't be pissing money away on switch replacing.
Do the drain and fill, but likely needs an ECM reset and be driven.

Ditto that you don't need to be messing with the transmission at only 12,000 miles.

Thank you

Yes I Will go to the dealership when they open.
Iv'e put 10,000 miles on the car since I bought it so It can't be hurting it too bad. I was just asking before I got it all buttoned up thats all.

Cheers
Go B-more!!!

Went to the dealer today and spoke to a mechanic and he said that there is nothing mounted there not even a bolt but there is on older models.

I finished changing the switches yesterday

First impression the transmission feels good. It shifts through a little tighter instead of the slight slip. Of course this could relate to the fluid change. The used z1 was dark and a bit thick at 22,000 miles, magnet showed normal signs of wear. Anyhow I'm happy with the outcome and I will keep an eye on the fluid(change it before factory spec) or change brands time will tell. Thats all for now.

No, really, trans issues??? Possible but highly unlikely at that low mileage was my point.
