NEW Dashboard Question (Hopefully)

I'm obviously not the only one in this forum with the famously common cracked dash. I’ve spent countless hours reading all these forums about cracked dashes so hopefully my question is a new one. I see the toppers and all but don’t dig them too much compared to just a flawless dashboard. I know that if I replace it, there is a chance it can crack again.

Here’s my question.

Is there any company or person that makes a dash out of a different material compound? I had a 240sx with a cracked dash (Also common) and found a place that made the exact same dash but made it out of a softer and better material. If not, is there any other option other than a Suede Topper or wrapping it in some vinyl?

Sorry if these questions have been asked already in another forum. If they have been I must have missed them.

Thanks!

I think your options are pretty limited as far as replaceing the dash. I think its either OEM, or a dash mat. I haven't read the cracked dash thread here for a while, but I don't believe theres an aftermarket dash of any kind. BTW Great avatar!

Doubt there are other companies that make a TL dash. I'm also guessing either OEM or a cover

A dealer can order it, but some members have been successful in getting Acura to foot some or most of the bill (for the dash and the install). I would deff try talking to Acura and be persistent about it. Maybe you already have?

Well i actually have a friend back home that is a Master Tech for Honda/Acura. I've asked him about it and he said they can order one for me but i was trying to not pay the dealership price. He also wasn't sure about a differently made dash so thats why i asked on here. Guess i'm just gunna have to bite the bullet and hope it doesn't crack again.
