new brakes and rotors wont stop squeaking!
I have a 2005 Tl and once i hit about 17000 miles my brakes started squeaking really bad and the dealer told me that i should replace all of the brake pads and rotors. Then about a month later (1,500 miles) i took the car to the dealer again for the same problem and he said i needed new brake pads again and he said my rotors had hot spots on them and needed to be resurfaced..... He then accused me of racing the car, which i have defiantly not been doing. I have the feeling that their ripping me off but i don’t know what to do. im thinking of getting higher quality brake pads but i don’t know what type to get. I was just wondering if anyone has been having the same problem as me, or any ideas on what I should do.

Dealership is making you pay? My dealer told me that around 30K -ish is when I should need breaks...but it can go up to 60K in some cases. I just got my breaks looked at for the squeaks...they went ahead and replace them with a "new 06 pads" and resurfaced the rotors....all under warranty (this was monday)....now the sound is even worse!!! I bought "de-squeak" (autoszone) Imma try that out if it keeps happening Imma return it to acura for yet another service.

My breaks has been squeeking ever since ive bought it. First, they resurfaced the rotors... helped a lil. Now its sitting in the shop and ive got a tsx in my garage. Im about to get new pads, rear struts, back seat clip, driver sun visor and first oil change, free!.
They did try to charge me for rotation. Guess for how much? 30 freakin bucks! I told them no thanks, ill do that one myself.

Brakes are a maintenance item. However brakes should not be squeaking on a new vehicle after 17K miles. That should be a warranty item. Brakes generally squeak b/c of pads; brakes generally vibrate b/c of flat spots on rotors.
If you have flat spots or hot spots on your rotors that means you likely either got the rotor really hot and then went through a large puddle, therefore cooling the rotor too quickly and creating a flat spot, or you jammed on your brakes really hard a few times and created a hot spot.

I started having brake squeak at about 17000 miles on my 04 TL. The dealer just told me that it couldn't duplicate it. That's odd, since it happens all the time when I drive. I had a similar problem with another Acura I owned ten years ago. A mechanic told me then that they used bad pads as OEM on that model. I can't help but think they are still doing that.

One on the right for me
i didnt get on the dealers ass about the squeaking until it was too late and the inner pads were down to about 2%. i just bought some rotex pads online for 80 bucks and havent had too many problems since. they squeak every once in a while

They are expensive, they are time driven, and they sometimes try to sell worthless services, engine cleanings, flush services, engine treatments, etc.
Parts markup is very high, they use oem parts at full (or better) list price, example, a brake rotor may cost $25.00 to $40.00 on line, and they may charge
$200.00 or more a rotor. Add in the labor rate, and a $300.00 brake job (all new rotors and pads) costs you $1200.00.
Luxury brands tend to abuse this more than low end cars.
You may also have poorly trained techs, or just plain stupid people working at some shops, some who do not care about your car (scratches, dirt inside the car),
and the boss may be pushing them to get jobs done they cut corners.
I doubt most shops pay enough to keep people for very long, in a dirty, hard, cold job where no one is ever happy....
If one learns auto service and repair, they can save lots of time and money, and not be dependant on onyone else.
