New battery died a week later and won’t start unless jumped. Bad alternator?

Purchased a new battery a week ago and was running fine for four days until I go out to my car for work and it’s completely dead. Jumped it and ran it for a bit. Came out a few minutes later and wouldn’t start. It’s definitely not holding a charge so would this be a bad alternator? Going to autozone tomorrow to get it tested. How much would this run me? Thanks for the help in advance

rockauto.com, get a Denso alternator.

You could also just have a parasitic draw that's draining your battery. Do a search here for it, it's quite common.

Is your handsfree link unplugged? When the unit goes bad it creates a parasitic draw and constantly kills your battery

Turns out the clamps weren’t securely on the battery lol. I’ve never had a problem with HFL draining my battery before. I have an 04 TL with no navi do you think HFL would still affect my battery?

The HFl won't do anything to your battery unless it goes bad. Still have mine working and never had any problems. Glad you got it figured out though! Funny enough the same thing happened to my car, thought it was my battery but it turned out being a loose terminal
