I am new to these fourms. I apologize in advance if this has been posted already, but it's a two part.
I have a 2006 Acura TL 3.2L. I had a major failure when the voltage regulator (backside of alternator) exploded and caught fire. I was able to minimize the fire damage to 6 inches of the main cable feeding the system and the pigtail plugging into the alternator. I was able to rewire the schematic using a reference from a 2009 (mdx?). I am electrician by trade so I use a hydraulic crimp for the battery cable and soldered the "voltage regulator" to new pigtail from ebay.
Start the car, abs warning (I assume for no charge)
I checked with meter only getting Bat voltage of 12.6
NEW BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR

My question "I need the wiring schematic for the charging system for this car. Maybe I miswired those 4 wires for the pigtail on the alternatoe (white/green. White/red. ?White/blue? . Black yellow) to the ebay pigtail.

Second. Those four wires being the pigtail for alternator. . How do I test those functions of the car. I read somewhere that one is "grounded" from Ecu to tell the alternator to generate. One is the warning light. ETC.

Maybe when the car caught fire the wires shorted and a fuse upstream?

I noticed that when the car is turned to accessories the battery light flashes on then off where the rest of the dash light go through a normal "5secons test".
I don't remember if the battery light was on when I ran it for 5 seconds. I noticed it wasn't charging and shut it off.

And by checking I mean, testing things like the ELD. Maybe it was fried?
