New 07 TL base with NAVI owner/ problems

Hi. I just traded my 06 TSX navi in for a TL base with NAVI.

It's moroccan red pearl with taupe interior. I really miss the TSX but really like the TL as well. I started the car the next day and received an airbag warning message 42-1, if I remember correctly. Then the HFL kept warning me right after ignition stating the pairing process can not be completed with the car in motion, all with the navi not even initialized yet! So I reset the HFL system and that seemed to have cleared that problem. So far the airbag warning has not re-appeared.

Are these TL's plagued with electrical gremlins?! Is the paint quality as good as the Japan quality? The Marysville plant have the same TQC as Japan?! I sure hope I didnt trade in a good car for a lemon.

Thanks!

there usually is a description of the airbag, if it said off, you either must have leaned onto the seat where the sensors are of put something in the seat under 60 pounds. Its designed so under 60 pounds, no passenger airbag. The HFL has a few glitches with it, but it a new unit should solve the problem if it occurs. Also, no the TL does not have electrical gremlins, only one maybe and thats the HFL unit messing up and staying on, draining the battery. As far as paint, the pain is a little softer on USA cars as honda wants to be friendly to the earth. the plant here has the same quality control.

No man...it was an ERROR code 42-1. It was the red icon on the instrument panel and not "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" between the vents.

Your car came with a 4 year/50K miles warranty.

The error code is the dealer's and Acura's problem - not yours.
