I recently moved to LA and I live here alone , my 04 TL 6 speed started acting up I am gettting the random missfires codes car runs but feels like only running on less than 6 cylinders, took to shop but they wated to start throwing parts and labor of 1200 to change plugs and coils.

I need to find how to test resistance on the coil packs, I have a voltmeter but I dont know what the values are . I have the service manual but its not there.

 

Just disconnect each one one at a time until you find the one that does not change anything and thats the bad one. Two will not go bad simultaneously. Did you miss shift and over rev the engine?

 

No missshofts no over revs!! I just dont know what ohm setting i need to use if put on the 200 theres no continuty at all but the metter has about 6 diff ohm setting so idont know which one to use .

 

The suggestions pohljm has above will help you to locate the issue. Don't worry so much about the ohms or voltage testing. I would throw in, check all of your connections to your lower block... sometimes when you have that 100k timing belt service done, the guys at the shop forget to plug things in.

 

All has been checked, connectors vacumm lines, coils, EGR, still running like crap same codes. anyone want to buy a car ??

 

Did you let anyone drive your car? Sounds like bent valves to me!
