My navi and radio console died on me while sitting in car. Suddenly the music stops and I notice the power in the entire cole is gone. The backlight for the time display is on but not time shown, just a blank screen. Red security light blinking on console.

Not sure if it matter but I had the glove box opened for a couple minutes when this issue occurred. Also, when I arrived at home I wasn't able to put my car into park without unlocking the gearbox override, not sure if it's related but very weird that these two issues happened in the same driving session.

This one is for the power outage and the other one is for the shifter issue. They both happened at the same time so I made a reference to them in both threads.

Could it be a blown use?

 

Check fuse #7.

 

It was fuse 32 which solved both issues. Thanks guys.
