So i noticed on my 07 base, if I put the hazards on, the navi screen flashes between day/night mode. this only happens if the headlights are off, and nothing else seems to be effected. anyone have any ideas? all other dash lights light up correctly etc, i tried messing with the dimmer too and no difference.
Sounds like there's a short in the circuit somewhere in the dash. Wires in the hazard switch (#8) may for some reason be crossed with the sun beam sensor (#14) that's in the dash perhaps.
I don't believe they are on the same harness but they may be and there may be a cut in the wire or something. You'll have to take apart the front console and take a look.
ok so yes old thread but still havent figured it out but i have more info. after i did led dash lights i noticed they all light up too (couldnt see them in the daytime before the leds). they also light up when signaling. but to make it interesting, it has something to do with the running light circuit because i noticed one of my front signal lights was only working as a blinker and the problem stopped on that side. removed bulb on other side and also stopped. tried different bulbs, no difference. with the bulbs out it doesnt happen.
