Sorry to hear. But, without your location, the general answer is to call around and even ask your dealership for a recommendation?

I'm in Chattanooga TN. I've seen some be units on eBay and the web. I was wondering if anyone knows or has any experience with any of the vendors that are advertising. I still can not believe that Atlanta Acura dealer wants 4 grand to fix this tranny. Thanks for any replies.

Ah. Yeah, will have to wait for responses...

But, did you call around locally to check if any garages would fix it for a decent amount...?

I've read somewhere on the forums that certain acura dealerships would be willing to
Trade your old tranny + $1000 for a brand new...I can't find the exact threads/posts but do some searches cause I know 100% I've seen ppl post about goin thru this method.

Thanks for that idea. I check some other Acura dealers. I had it towed to the local Honda dealer, which is next door to the Acura dealer. Acura dealer in Chattanooga serviced my car twice and I was not impressed so I wont go back.
