My TL had an Epileptic fit
Hello...long time reader first time poster...please be gentle with.
I have an Anthracite 2004 TL (Non navi) that had an epileptic fit yesterday on the exit ramp. My car started shaking uncontrollably when I was as a stop light. As soon as the light turned green I drove it into the mall parking it and the shaking calmed down a bit but as soon as I pulled into a parking spot the shaking resumed...I immediately turned the car off. An hour later the car refused to start. Batter was fine, had more than a half tank of gas...I turned the ignition and appeared as if it were about to start then nothing. My roadside assistance came 45 mins later and was able to start the car by applying the gas. He drove the car around the parking and and said the car was driving fine but the rough start and slight shaking concerned him. He was able to load the car on his flat bed and take it to the dealership. Of course it was closed being that it was 4th of July. I got a call this morning saying a valve was not opening/closing properly causing some clogging issues. The valved needed to be replaced and the area needed to be cleaned. I believed he mentioned a P Valve. So $477 bucks to fix it and I will hopefully have the car by one. NO CEL came on by the way. Anyone experienced this? I seriously thought the car was about to explode....

The vibrations happened in my Ranger once, was eating gas like none other, had 2 cylinders that were not firing which caused the engine to vibrate and thus the car vibrating. at least its getting fixed promptly. Guessing your out of warranty too? So Roadside assistance works even after your warranty is up. did not know that

Sigh...I'm pretty sure he said they are replacing (because it would not open and close properly) and cleaning.

Which dealership did you take this to? There are certain ones in the Atlanta area that you should avoid. My car is an '05 AM 6MT with over 50K+ miles on and I've never experienced that before.

It was a bad EVR...ended up being $381. The car barely has 60k on it. I went to Nalley Acura....
I hope this is not the beginning of the end...
