I am experiencing a shuddering sound in my 04' tl for about 1-2 seconds when my speed hits around 50 mph and only then. I was thinking it was my belt but its not. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be. I am uncertain if the tranny is doing this. The sound/ vibration is coming from the passenger side of the car under the hood most definetely. This problem is starting to scare me and I hope I can get it resolved before it gets worse. How good if acura dealer about replacing trans but car over 50k miles. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank You

 

try motor mounts..and my 2G TL Type S had a vibration, turned out to be worn axles. as far as acura replacing the tranny they should be able to. acura goodwill paid for half a tanny replacement that wouldve been 5000. goodluck

 

It could be the TCC locking. Try shifting manually and see what happens. What type of fluid are you using and what's your maintenance been like on the trans?
