Many think that BOTH mirrors tilt down when in reverse, however only one side tilts down at time, depending on which way the switch is set. Put your car in reverse and then slide switch from L to R and watch your mirrors...you'll see what I mean.

Unfortunatley I've started experiencing this problem last night also, but it's not an issue of the switch position. I verified that by moving the switch position to both left and right, but neither mirror will tilt down in reverse. To further troubleshoot, I readjusted the passenger side mirror and have discovered that it will only repond to right or down adjustments, but not up or left adjustments. I tried to reset it's position by using the memory settings, but that failed also. Something tells me that this is going to be a big problem, which pisses me off since the car is only 8 months old. I guess now I'll see if the dealer steps up to the plate...

Hey staggerwing.... same thing just happened to me.... its a 7.5 volt fuse thats blown.... check to see if your rearview mirror is still working (the autodim feature) just push the button on the mirror to see if the green light comes on. If not its the fuse... cant remember the number but its on the second row.... (they are the little mini fuses too)

Your winshield washers may also not be working. They are all linked to the No. 20 fuse. There is a TSB 05-033 about it and it says that th2 7.5 amp fuse should be replaced by a 10 amp fuse. The TSB include a replacement fuse box lid label.

Yep....it was the number 20 fuse. The dealer replaced it with a 10AMP fuse. When I rolled in I described all the issues to the service advisor and then asked him to check the wiper fluid because whoever filled it up the last time filled it with water and it froze on my window. He told me during the summer months they use a cheaper fluid that doesn't have the same anti-freeze properties...the only problem with his line of crap was that I last had my car serviced at the beginning of Nov.
Anyway....the stuff froze and I apparently blew the fuse when the wiper fluid pump tried to run while it was frozen. The number 20 fuse apparently handles the multiplexer in the 'puter.
