Are my Rotors Damaged?

Can anyone tell from these pictures if my Rotors need to replaced?

I don't have any problems driving around with it so far, but I know my bads are done and I need new ones asap.
I see that the rotors got that line going around so I know medal is touching it, but would it okay if I just put new pads on or do I have to get new rotors?

Those gouges are definitely deeper than what can be machined out, but you can install pads and they will wear to the contour of the rotor surface. Let me say it's not the best idea to do this and if money were no problem I'd definitely replace the rotor(s), but once again it's not going to cause any major problem., especially if you're not going to race the car.

get a new rotor if you have money or resurface it, if not then just slap the new pad on. It seem that the rotor has been scored.

Correct. I would recommend a re-surface but with slotted and/or drilled rotors that will be impossible from my knowledge.

You could use cheap pads for now and they will mate to the scores already on the rotors until you can save up for new pads and rotors.
If you put pads on it now and replace rotors later you will have to also replace pads again or sand down the pad to a flat fresh start surface which can be a pain and I don't recommend.

Good luck.

I did the same thing at about 45,000mi, my left, inner pad wore out much faster than the other 3.

I just replaced the pads again this weekend (98k mi) and the pad did match to the grove in damaged rotor, but the rotor damage is no worse.

Still, no problems braking, and the rotor isn't warped.

Good luck!

Agreed. Replace if you can but running them as is isn't *that* bad for street driving.

If it was mine I would replace it but it's not really "must" if you put on new pads and there are no pulsating effects when you come to a stop. True, the pads will wear a bit faster, at least until the pad molds to the rotor and as the pad wears thin... And true, you may experience some slight brake fading under high temperatures, but you live in Canada, not Texas. So brake fade may not be as bad. And the last I heard, slotted and drilled rotors cannot be "turned". So, replacement is the only option. Also high speed braking is where it counts too. If you only drive in town, then you have less chance of having any brake fade than driving at highway speeds and braking a lot.
