My problems with the TL

Well I am new here and a proud owner of a 2005 gray acura tl. I love this car, i paid it off, and love having the wonderful feeling of actually holding the title anyways here are some things I am trying to figure out, also just letting you guys know I am clueless when it comes to fixing cars... but here goes nothing.

First problem, my bulbs on the middle between the acura logo up front are not lighting up anymore, and I am not sure why, it has been like that for about 6 months now. What can be the problem with that? I want to find out whats wrong with them, and maybe if its the bulb would i be able to get a different kind of bulb that wont shine yellow (i want more like a blueish color)??? Second thing, I noticed last night that one of the night headlights is not the same color as the other, one is a clear blueish color and the other one is kind of pink??? Is it supposed to be like that? Do I need new bulbs, if so which ones?

Alright so that's my "electrical" problems, now to the mechanical parts. I change my oil every 3000 miles and get my tires rotated, but now I am getting up there as far as mileage goes. I am currently at 86000 miles, is there any maintenance that i should defiantly be aware of??? Car runs very well, but I want to make sure that i take good care of it!

your fog bulbs are probably out. as far as the color differences for your headlights???

the mechanical...why in the world are you changing your oil every 3k mi?? you need to be following your MID in your car. it will tell you when your car needs service. how long have you owned the car??? your brake fluid should have been flushed twice already (every 3 yrs). i'm assuming you have an AT. tranny fluid should have been changed twice (most likely) as well (again indicated by your MID).

no other major maintenance will be required until 105k. however you have an 05 which means you've reached the 7 yr mark for the 105k service (timing belt, water pump etc). though there is debate as to where the 7 yr thing came from. aside from wear and tear items (brakes, tires, alignments) nothing of dire need unless they have never been done to the car. there is no interval for power steering fluid. change based on need (ie dirty fluid or your steering doesn't feel right). 86k mi...your car is still a baby. my 05 TL only has 565xx mi.

i have had the car for a year and a half, the color difference is in the other bulbs, i think they are HID bulbs... one is clear blue and the other is pink, idk why its pink lol

I probably just need to take my car to acura, i have had it since 57000 miles, and havent done anything to it except took it for service to get engine mounts changed, oil changes, new tires, and alignment !

if it just started turning pink it is an indicator that the bulb is worn out.

BUT are you following your MID for oil changes or the old 3k mi rule? you're throwing money away if you're doing the 3k mi rule, esp at the dealer. don't get me wrong, my car has been dealer maintained it's whole life (love my dealer...always taking care of me). i'm just smart about what i have them do. coupons help too.

i've always followed the MID. except for my last oil change which was changed based on time (1 yr), but i was close to my normal mileage interval anyway.

oh ideally you want to replace bulbs in pairs, because they color shift as they age. Usually they get blue-er until the point where they suddenly turn pink. It's up to you, OP.

i tend to do the lights in pairs as well. i also tend to save the "old good" bulb just in case i lose one at night. Nothing wrong with having the spares at arms reach when out at night.
