Missing part under driver seat?
Missing part under driver seat?
Does the TL have a plastic cap covering the right rail under the driver's seat? I'm talking about the upper part of the rail that moves with the seat, not the fixed bottom rail. On my 2006 5AT, there's a plastic cap on the left rail but the right rail is exposed metal..is this normal?
I did a forum search but came up empty. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies
I really wouldn't have noticed in the first place if my car hadn't been delivered from the factory with a cracked plastic housing on the underside of the seat. I figured it would be a simple 5 minute job to replace with a new one, but the dealer took 2 hours because the seat had to be removed from the railing.
Love the car, just wish the assemblers paid a little more attention to details here and there

There is nothing missing. I suspected the same thing on my 08 TL, but all are the same; the right rail under the driver's seat is somewhat exposed. The dealer rep and I suspect it was reengineered a bit from the 2nd generation TL to provide a little more movement range with the seat adjustments, but not sure. Anyhow, nothing to worry about.
