I'm having a few issue's on my vehicle, my reader is telling me that I'm having misfires on pistons 2 3 4, About two month ago i have done the sea foam treatment(as seen on videos) and replaced my spark plugs. .

you probably damaged a coil during the plug change- they are fragile inside
If you even set it down hard- a month later it dies
The computer doesnt know whats wrong so it gives a multi cyl misfire
In reality there is 1 bad coil- about 50 bucks
You install it on the first suspected cyclinder- reset the ECU- start car- if better you are done!
If the same- move the new coil to the next suspect- put the old coil back on its same cyl-
reset ECU- start car
At some point you will have found it- it may be one of the listed on codes cylinder or another one!
cyl numbers standing in front of car looking at engine
rear is 123
front is 456

ignore seafoam vid online,, and use only the DIY on acurazine- done on an 05 it applies to all gen3
we made a method that works very well on our cars

91 93 94 depends on where you live- what they sell in that area/elevation/latitude

91, or above, is what the TL needs

Use Tier1 gas- most of the big brand names, is the other trick to keeping it running good

If you use cheap gas based on your budget, then run a can of seafoam in the tank every 5000 miles to clean the injectors

Guys thanks for all ur help.

Im always putting the same gas(93) at the same gas station so I'm higly doubting that.

01tl4tl- are these coils that fragile? I'm afraid that the mechanic at pepboys ruined them. I will deffitly try out the method you gave me. Where did u find the coil for 50$

yeah.. they're fragile. It might be as simple as not plugging in the coil harness correctly. As 01TL4TL said you may read multiple misfires when typically it's just one coil acting up. First unplug & plug all the coil connections. Then see if that remedied it. As suggested by 01TL4TL, go buy a coil and remove your 2nd coil & swap.. make sure they didn't pack to top of the electrode that seats on the plug with too much grease when you remove it.. once you've swapped in the good coil, fire her up and see if that remedied it.. if not.. then remove the 3rd coil & put in the 2nd coil in it's place (we're assuming the 2nd coil is okay)... repeat procedure.

Also note that the electrode is spring loaded so if you seat it over the plug it'll push itself out. Don't press directly down on it but instead turn it as you put it in and it should click in and not push back as much.. then tap it in / secure it.

I had misfires diagnosed by OBD when I had my emissions tested about a year prior to trading in my TL -- ran fine the whole time .. oh well, I always used premium Shell gasoline .

Hey guys!

any more to this issue, I have replaced the coils, threw a half can of sea foam to clean injectors’ im really out of options here =(

A smell of gas comes time to time from my Tl.

Can it be that new spark plugs are damaged?
