Mirrors

The mirrows on my 2008 TL are moving randomly what fuse do I remove to disable them.

You can unlink your remote, make sure your mirror switch isn't left on one side, or to fix the issue, replace your mirror actuators.

when does the random movement take place? when you shift into R? both mirrors or just one?

Car wants to apply the memory seat profile when you open the doors, and that include mirror position.
Since potentiometers inside the mirrors went bad car has no feedback of mirror position so they go all the way and start clicking.
Like others wrote - common issue.

OEM actuators cost ~$40 each + tax + shipping. Hardest part is getting mirror off the actuator.



Here are all the fuses used by mirror control unit. Chances are they are also used for other things, so taking them out might disable other systems.

If you really want to go for $0 solution I would disconnect both actuators inside the mirrors instead of taking fuses out.
