does anyone here knows if the MID left/right select toggle underneath the MID select light is supposed to be illuminated when the headlights are turned on? I just noticed mine were not lit up but the Select light is.

Yes they are illuminated. I had my Select and arrow buttons out. Very easy fix to do.
Buy the bulbs from the dealer if you want, and there are directions in the garage how to remove the gauge cluster panel trim to access the bulbs.
