Memory seat not moving
Memory seat not moving
Got my 2007 TL Saturday. The memory seats will not program. When I get in or out the seat does not move. I can use the side buttons to fwd and back, the lumbar adjusts and the back of the seat will up and down. The front part of the seat will not adjust. It clicks but not move. Is that why the memory will not program?

when I open the door to get in, nothing moves. Seats, mirrors, telescoping steering wheel, whatever else is supposed to move. The display says "welcome driver 1". I have positioned everything the way I want and press the mem button and the button 1 to program. Everything works manually except for the front up and down of the seat.
Try this: get in the car, just move the seat to the rear and recline the back without touching the memory buttons.
Get out of the car and lock your doors.
Then use your remote to unlock the doors and open the driver's door.
Does the seat move to your prior position?
If yes, the DPMS/memory functions are working, and you can program the driver, external mirror, audio and climate settings for each remote.
Get back to us if the seat does not move upon opening the door.
FYI, the steering telescoping function is manual only, via a lever, and is not motorized.

Do your windshield washer fluid pump and interior auto-dimming rear view mirror work now?
If not, pull the 7.5 Amp fuse in #20 in the under-dash fuse box on the driver's side and replace it with a 10 Amp fuse-- there was a TSB specifying that upgrade.
