To many issues right after another:(

Hey everyone I'm at work right now and all of sudden my car alarm goes off and I go check get in the car and turn it on and it's showing tpms system error. I shut it off and take the key out and I hear my doors unlocking while I'm still in the car as if someone was pressing the unlock button repeadlty than it stopped after a while. Anyone know what's going on? I'm sick of all these issues with this car. I'm really considering trading it in for something else. I really wouldnt want to tho after all the money I've invested in it already . Someone please let me know what this could be thank you .

Forgot to mention this always happens when it's raining. Idk if it's coincidence or what.

Here's one area to check:
Security System Sounds by Itself
Currently Applies To: ’04–07 TLs
Got a vehicle in your shop with a security system that
sounds by itself? Check the connectors behind the
driver’s under-dash fuse box for moisture or
corrosion. If the fuse box is wet or it’s got water
damage, track down the source of the leak, fix the
leak, then replace the fuse box.

Unhappy Similar problem

2005 Acura TL 6MT
soon after it rains or i wash my car my alarm goes off.
i go out to my car and it shows the right rear door open, but its not open. i replaced the door jam switch and the problem still persisted.
i noticed if i go out to the car and try to roll the RR window down the door then shows its closed but as soon as i let off the window switch the notifications center says its open again.
so i replaced the widow switch and the problem still persist.

Any Ideas?

Check if there's any signs of water near the door pin. If not check behind your fuse box for any water, if you do have water behind your fuse box and are not under any sort of warranty your I'm sorry to say screwed. I have a folder with all the diagnosis and fixes acura has done on my car since I bought it, its ridicules how many problems I've had.

I Bought it used but had all the service records from eb Acura from where I bought the car. It was in great condition and still is. I bought it in 08 and it's been 4 years. And in those 3 years it's rained and never had an issue with leaks. And than this year all of a sudden there's a leak?

Sounds like you spent all your money on mods instead of maintaining it and all your audio mods pooped your electronic system.

Looking at the OP's post history, these issues have come up in the past. There's probably something deeper that's causing all these issues and was never fixed. For all we know a rat could have crawled up somewhere and chewed up a bunch of wires.

GL, OP. Shame your car has been such a can of worms. My 04 has been trouble free electrically...*knock on wood*

Idk if you can read or not but I clearly said there was a leak about 8 months ago in my car that was fixed by the Acura dealer who hired a company called water doctor. Friday night when this happened it was pouring and my car wouldbt turn on and had the same issues as 8 months ago when it rained

Thanks for being supportive. My cars under warranty so it's gonna get fixed , it's currently at the Acura dealer prob going to get looked at today since they only have skilled technicians on weekdays. Oh and also the leak they fixed us covered by there 12 months or 12,000 policy . And it's only been 8 months and like 6,000 miles

I'm pretty sure it's just a leak. Since it only spazzes out when it rains. In small rainy days, my alarm
Will occasionally go off. And on big rainy days like Fridays the car won't turn on

Our rides are like rolling computers and water can wreak havoc on the electronics. Even within the under dash fuse assembly there are active electronic parts in there.

Some can be permanent but the fact that the majority of your issues are when it's wet out says you still have a leak somewhere.

Was the car in an accident at some point? If it were me, I would cut my losses and dump it.

The other option is to get an ETM and try debugging yourself. But that is a tedious process. I am trying to nail down a parasitic current draw that drains my battery and still not sure where it's coming from.

Ill let you guys know as soon as i find out. hopefully I'll get a call from Acura today. Right now I have my gf driving me around since this Acura dealer never has loaner cars which just tells me these cars break down a lot. Anyways as I was typing this the dealer called saying that the technician jump started the car and it turned on. He tested the battery and the alternator and it was good. The guy told me that the amp wire connected to the battery might of drained my battery. Which is what they told me 8 months ago when I had the leak. I explained to them how this always happens when it rains and he said he will have his technicians look into it more. My car after it sits and dries out which it has been doing since Saturday after it was sunny here And it starts working fine.

The only reason he needed to jump start it was because it has been sitting for 3 days and the amp drained the battery. But since I start my car everyday I never had to do that.

To start with, I'd certainly fix that problem. Having a battery go dead after 3 days of sitting idle is not a good situation as it's pulling current continuously.

Its been like that for 3 years and never had an issue with it. But i am getting rid of my setup anyway. It looks like rain Wednesday and Thursday , so what I'm gonna do is unplug and remove my sub. And have them try to turn the car on Thursday or Friday morning see if the car turns on. And when it doesn't I'm gonna be so happy to explode in there face and tell them I told you so. I fn hate these dealers

That's not the problem cuz I got to work fine Friday morning.

At 8am got to work

8:30 alarm goes off and I go check my car. I turn it on and it's showing tpms system error. I shut it off and turn it back on no more tpms system error message. I park my car next to the building and leave it unlocked so the alarm doesn't go off all the time.

12:30 lunch time. I go turn my car on and it turned on fine shut it off and locked the door.

12:30-4:30 no alarm went off. I get ready to go home 3 attempts to
Open my trunk before it actually opens from the key fob to put my stuff in the trunk. I go and try to unlock my car with the key fob and I see side markers flickering like the car had no power. I opened the door with the key put the key in the ignition everything lit up and than slowly dimmed out. Tried to turn over the car and it did nothinh not even a click.

4:45...tried jump starting it and still nothing.

4:50... Called VSC (vehicle service contract)

5:15...tow trucker arrived and so did my gf.

5:35... I arrived to the Acura dealer explained my situation the guy said it wont be looked at till monday (today) I left the dealer . as I was leaving the tow truck arrived with my car at the dealer.

That's how it went Friday. Be advised it was pouring the whole day

I went to advance auto and tested my battery. Read 12.88 volts and only 300 of the 620 cca
Replaced battery and all is well.

awesome.....did you use the code BATX to save 25% on your battery ?

This is how i deal with AAP: go there and have them check the battery for free....if you need a battery then pull out your phone and order ONLINE using the coupons (BATX, BIG30, BIG50, etc)....they get the order almost immediately and then they install the battery right there ....

they know i have coupon codes so now they tell me, how was is your total online ?....i tell them the total and they price match it

Meaning is an OEM "type" battery or the one that originally came with the car?

Yeah from sitting from Friday night when the car wouldn't turn on to Monday morning. I bet if I would've passed by the Acura dealer Saturday and tried to turn on the car it would've turned on without a problem because everything had dried out by than. It's happen to me before. The reason why they got to turn the car on was because it dried out between Saturday to Monday it was sunny and windy those 2 days.

Go buy a cheap multimeter from radio shack .. $8... test the battery ... S/B 12 V ... then start the car and test again ... S/B 13.8 v or better ... if not 13.8 or better the alternator is going.

Also clean your terminals even if they look clean.

when my car was acting wacky (like yours is)...the alarm would go off by itself, dash lights were flickering like crazy, keyfob wouldn't work, etc...it turned out to be the battery.

our cars do crazy things when the battery starts failing.

our cars do crazy things when the battery starts failing.
Lol the difference between my car and your car is that mine only acts up when it rains.

not sure if anyone mentioned this, but check your drain tubes near the windowshield cowl. something may have gotten in there and partially clogged the tube, and when it rains...the water has nowhere to drain out of so it drains on your multiplex box or fuse box or the like. i could be way off base, i'm just spitting out ideas.

i've probably overlooked it in this thread (didnt read the whole thing)...but do you notice any wet spots anywhere near the fuse box or floor area whatsoever? taken apart the lower dash panel?

Nope no wet spots. Last time it was very small drops falling behind the fuse box. It Was never gotten to the point where my rug is soaked . Well the Acura dealer said they're gonna look more into it and that was at 9 this morning when they called its 3:10 now and haven't heard from them. I'm guessing they found something .
