A little background as to what happened.
Last Sunday I had a mishap, left drive shaft broke.
Heard a loud bang and the car would not engage into gear.
Had it towed to an independent shop (my regular mech).

The following was completed.

Timing belt
Water pump
TB Tensioner
Serpentine belt
Left drive shaft
Right drive shaft
Tranny drain and fill
Bled brake fluid
Power steering fluid
Spark plugs (NGK Laser Iradium)
Cabin filter
Air filter

Hope she's good for another 100K

She's an 04 Auto, currently at 110000KMs yes, I'm in Canada.

 

Wow all that at 110km? That's only like 68k ish miles

 

I know...but the car is 10 years old now.
I replaced both drive shaft cause one broke.
Did the timing belt and water pump (7 years or 160km) I'm at 10 years.
Wish I didn't have to.

 

Many will say it wasn't needed at 10 years....many will say it is. Kudos to you for having the maintenance done on time/early and ready to enjoy the car for many more years.

 

mine broke as well, at 150,000 miles. the guy said it's common with many cars, since the damper (a rubber piece) used to soften the noise often promotes rust.
