I just played around with the iSimple for the third time and messed up the main trunk switch putting the glovebox back together. I'm not sure how it happened but I ended up with the two pieces in the picture. If I recall correctly, this piece with the red on it is supposed to be inside the main switch, or am I mistaken? The thing is I have absolutely no idea how it popped out of it if that is the case, is there another piece I am missing that broke off? Any help/pics of what the main switch is supposed to look like would be appreciated.
If I end up not being able to get the piece back in, can I solder the back of the switch to close the circuit?
If it popped out with the cover on, then you should be able to find out where it popped out from. If not, then carefully remove the cover w/o breaking the plastic tabs and place it back in. You don't need a picture to figure out how it goes together, look at the terminals, its an open and closed switch, just like a light switch.
