When putting the maf sensor back on the top portion on the intake manifold, there is a shutter type thing. i took it off and dont know whether or not the shutter needs to be in the open or closed position when reinstalling the sensor, or if it even matters??

 

There is no MAF sensor on the TL. Are you talking about the MAP?
