Exclamation Loud Thunk at start up

Hi Everyone,

I bought a 2008 TL Type S last Wednesday and there are a few things that I've noticed.

1. When I start the car there is a "thunk" sound that I hear and feel in the brake pedal/driver's side floor board. I've done several searches but I cant find a thread for this, is this normal or should I have the dealer check this out.

2. I was told there is a slight pull to the left when I accelerate...there is but it also feels like the alignment is off as it pulls to the right when I am coasting...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Probably the ABS self-check, which is a single "thunk" in the lines.

Not good-- check the COLD tire pressures if you haven't already.
Also, look at the front tires for any unusual wear pattern.

Possibilities are a bad alignment, bad tire(s), bent suspension or subframe.

Swap the front and rear tires-- is there any change? If so, the tires are the cause.
If not, it's more likely the alignment. Have an alignment shop do a proper alignment to eliminate a bent suspension or subframe issue.

If I purchased a certified acura, wouldnt that eliminate the bent frame? Also, I believe its more of a thunk versus a loud thunk...
